"STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT"

'Tis Christmas season Ladies !  The time has finally come, for Parties, Balls and Cocktails Soiree - I would say this must be the best month ever I always adore and look forward to - not Bad to Strut your stuff and Steal the Spotlight...Yep "STEAL IT, OWN IT and SWAG IT"  one can say I'm NOwhere near a Minimalist Dresser...Totally and Overly MAXIMALIST ! My philosophy in Fashion is More (Prints and Texture) Plus more (Sparkle and Shine) Equals...MORE !

If you're like me where I strive to find unique (well, unique enough) style and pieces to perfectly stand out in the crowd.  Well, wearing Red for sure never fails you...And Red is like listening to Michael Buble's Christmas CD, you really can't go wrong.  What with the party season upon us and many night outs to look forward to, it's time to think about What to Wear.  Sure a little Black Dress or Le Smoking suit is always on Par for the party scene but who says dressing has to be cut...Have fun with Colours...

"Overdress rather than Undress"...I say !  And oohh the picture shown with my Beautiful Best Friend and Sistaah ...Not in red but I'm strutting my Derriere in RED for Xmas and New Year !!!

Merry Christmas Everyone and BE DAZZLE !!!! xoxoxox

FUR COAT and NO KNICKERS

Caught somewhere between the Guest list and surrounded with Women in Full Throttle Dressed to the Nines for the event Queuing outside Lincoln Centre New York for this year’s NEW YORK FASHION WEEK …and NO I’m not in New York ..I’m seating on a nice Comfortable Chair in my Lounge Glaring at Fashion TV with a Poufy along with my Screaming Son chasing my Fluffy White Maltese Dog whilst I am trying my best to disconnect in order to connect into Fashion Mental State of Mind.
I don’t mind admitting, currently I am somewhat going through Fashion antisocial tendencies – Guess, it’s not unusual in my Situation juggling Highly demanding Work which is nowhere near the World of Fashion “Think” Oil Offshore Engineering… and my Highly demanding Sport Activities but above all – my ever so demanding Midget I created nearly 2 years ago …Yep, My Son River Kai actually his not that midget his half of my height….. and I’m Trying to make sense of the amazing this year Fall/Winter trends and Spring 2013  -  I must say is like shopping for specific ingredients before deciding which dish to make; it’s a bit premature…but it seems that “Chic” is the Key Word here..  Oscar De La Renta, Carolina Herrera and of course Marchesa by Georgina Chapman Extra ordinary collections – Genius definitely worth the time to watch - Elegant in its baroque restraint, Gowns in rich brocade that no doubt it’s redefining what the label can be..J’adore, J’adore  J’adore and I lust about Fashion.
However, as much as I like Victoria Beckham because I think she really deserves a medal for making into the World of High Fashion…But the collections .. Sowwwrie.. for me it’s like indirect sci-fi flair, somewhat James Bond-ish, somewhat 2001: A Space Odyssey if you really dissect it further, bridges the sterility of  Bowwring…
But whatever the latest fashion trends or economic situation in the world, Luxury Fur is back and in Full Swing and I think this will never goes out of fashion. Despite the depressing atmosphere of the global crisis, which caused many brands to give up luxuries in favor of enforced functionality, this year winter collections are still dominated by Fur pieces, both natural and Faux, which can really match natural Fur in quality or appearance and Etro collections are just to die for and I’m willing to appear with NO KNICKERS but just do Etro’s FUR ….this is how Cheap I am when it comes to High FURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR …………..

RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR? BE SURE TO MAKE YOURSELF SPARKLE!!!

Are you ready for New Year? Or Planning a special Party at Home or going out? Either way, are you looking for a little wardrobe uplift? Well my Fashionista Darlings - two out of the biggest trends this Holiday Season are Lace, Sequins and Colours and lots, lots of it -  NO to Colour blocking .And this year I'm going for color and something Edgy for looking a bit younger - anything that will pull back few years - I'm all for it!  Just hope that I won't end up looking like - just came out from packet of Woolworths Christmas Crackers ....it would be a bloody joke!

Well,  since Boxing Day which was biled and dabbed as the biggest sale of the year, I have bloody abandoned Austerity and the word Credit Crunch and  hit shops Big time - I must admit it would be a CRIME not to.....so here I go trotting down the streets of Montecarlo and Milan armed with my Credit cards (will worry later...what the heck ...life's just too short) My Son River Kai, my white Fluffy pooches and some Friends and came out with the latest design of Alber Elbaz, Lanvin label continues to impress me let alone season after season with his collections of impeccably crafted minis - sadly I can only afford during Sale time and Alexander McQueen's younger collections which is called McQ which offer immaculately crafted clothing with rebellious twist....

There is no shortage of Glimmer out there...so let's Ring 2012 as Glitzy as possible, Happy New year everyone....and Bring it on 2012......

IM CURRENTLY OBSESSING ........

Woaaah..I was like woaaah when I just remembered I have this account – Big Sigh!   Some people been asking me what the hell happened to my blog site. One Long answer. BUSSSSY…BABY whilst Juggling in between Highly Demanding Work and Shopping. Oh yes I still can't joggle well Baby, Work, Running, Yoga, Shopping and other extra curricular activities such as this.

Sorry again to those who take time to visit my BLOG (http://fashionfoiegrasmontecarlo.blogspot.com). Then again sorry for the crappyness haha! Never again will you see this with old blogs. I shall fulfill my duties as a fashion Drug & Shopping Lord, to satisfy one's fashion and Shopping Addiction….Amen!

Okay here we go…If you are like me who absolutely believes that “SHOES” transform the way someone looks, whether they lengthen your legs, change the way you walk, change the way you feel, change your outfit and for sure they're very democratic.  For me, it's not like clothes, where you can't wear certain things. Shoes are brilliantly empowering in that way And buying pair of shoes I would say is the Grown up equivalent of buying sweets – Louboutin or Charlotte Olympia? Is Like a Giant candy store ... I can never have enough of this stuff, can you? It's like sweets with no calories!  I have no better way of spending my spare time after Running than to Browse if Not buying a pair of either Louboutin or Charlotte Olympia Shoes…and Yesterday was no Difference…LoL  ….Meet my “Maxine” one of Charlotte & Olympia’s Genius Creation …Absolutely just Fantastic to own and to feel and it’s even greater because I can go and buy what I want without having NOT to eat to have those things …Like when I was in Uni Days and being Poor.

To tell you honestly, When I'm going on a trip, I've got this enormous suitcase that's so heavy that the wheel has broken but the clothes hardly take up any of it - I've never gone on a five-day trip where I haven't got at least 12 pairs of shoes, and lots of bags and jewelry too. For me, definitely, fashion is everything, genuinely everything….And since I work in a Men dominated environment “OFFSHORE” – meaning OILFIELD… then My Wardrobe is the ONLY extent of my ambition AND making my Male Dominated OFFICE as my RUNWAY…..

"A LA CARRIE BRADSHAW's FASHION IDEAS"

When it comes to fashion, I’ve always considered Carrie Bradshaw a heroine–whether her outfits left me cringing or coveting, she always did it with zest, spunk, panache, and loads of style.  In fact, she plays an extremely Huge Part in my Fashion sense of Style ..if I have any??? and without a doubt my utmost Fashion Inspiration.
Like many women, Sex and the City and that fabulous foursome have been a part of my life for a long time, and while it’s an imperfect series, it’s not one that ended without leaving a generation of women a lot of life lessons.  I’ve jotted few what I think I’ve learned from Carrie Bradshawnified Fashion ideas….
Have FUN with Fashion/Don’t be afraid to try something NEW.  Carrie’s outfits always showed her flair for fashion, and she wasn’t afraid to try something new– whether it was new to her or a new trend.  Her outfits always reflected her spunky and playful personality.
Invest in GOOD shoes.  Good doesn’t have to mean expensive and strictly Manolos–afterall, there are plenty of horror stories about designer shoes dying after walking a few blocks.  But what I mean INVEST in good shoes, ones you can wear over and over, and that you love, that will treat you & your body great.  Although, honestly, nearly all of my Shoes look Spectacular but always leaves me breathless after taking them off due to Pain.
You don’t have to defend your love of fashion. To be honest, I don’t think I saw any of those women apologise for their love of fashion. Neither will I, and neither should you. My Motto is. If I like it then I’m going to Frickinnn Get it…
You’re never too old to play dress up. Whether it’s dressing up for a night out with the girls, or just because you’re feeling extra fabulous that day, Carrie reminds us all that we don’t need to save our best, most amazing frocks & accessories for special occasions.  Every day that we get up is another opportunity to dress up– however the Hell we feel like.  Honestly, working in a Company of Oil & Gas whereby you normally see a lot of Engineers and Women who basically are not as Crazy as me in Fashion – I normally get asked – Whether I’m going somewhere?  And I replied: No, just my ordinary Day Outfit….and you should see when I’m all Dolled Up…
You DON’T have to sacrifice personal style because: you hit 40 (or 52); you have kids; you’re in a professional job. One of the most inspiring things, as a young woman, was seeing how these women held firmly on to their sense of identity through relationships & break-ups, marriages & divorces, childbirth, aging, and more.  You are who you are– and that shouldn’t be sacrificed because an element in your life has changed.
Look to the past, and your own past, when shopping Early SatC Carrie loved her vintage, and I imagine she was the type of woman to shop for life– buying pieces she knew she’d love in 10 years, regardless of how it was dated or not.  Find the pieces that flatter your mind and your body, and keep it in your possession until it’s “Bloody” worn out.
Just because it’s in style– or out of style– doesn’t mean it’s for/not for you. One of the great things Patricia Field did in designing the show was creating women with their own sense of style.  Trends can fit in to, be a part of, or expand your own sense of personal style.  But always be sure to keep an open mind about fashion.  Voila…Anyone wanted to PLAY DRESSING UP?  Then Calllllll Meeeeeeeeeee  xxxx

"MY OSCARS.....NIFIED FASHION VISION"

With the Oscars done and dusted once again I’m here to spew some of my Oscars...nified Fashion Vision – I know, it’s certainly and seemingly like History now by Hollywood standard and I won’t be at all surprise if they are now working on their 2012 Outfits. But Hey, I’ve got a 5 month Old Son who basically keeping me occupied doing all the Mothering Business and since I paid extra for a TV Chanel just to get the Oscars coverage shown live simultaneously in Montecarlo then believe me I’m going to blurt it out anyway.

The red carpet for ME is NOT the Runway. It is pure Fantasy. And that is what I love about it and what I love about dressing up....Having said that this year’s Oscars? it has been tragically overcome by the tyranny of tiresome stylists – those of uniform vision (hello? have you never wondered why in a single year you get Nudes, Silver, & purple dresses, sixteen strapless silhouettes and a “bridal” theme – trends which just emerge).  What happen to the Genius & extra ordinary Work of Zuhair Murad (Photos above) – each time I think of his pieces and Day Dreaming being in a La La Fantasy Land “Sophistication and liberation of the self are the words I call it” – a true remake of an Old Movie “Ping” Chicago is what comes to mind and for me Dressing Up is all about putting up a Fantasy Chicago Show….OR what about Elie Saab’s trademark Gowns Full of elegance, Vivid Colours and just those special touches of him which make women dangerously irresistible – Where were they?

This year’s Oscars I was hoping to feel warm, fuzzy, mythical and for Goodness sake – I would have wanted to see at least one SERIOUSLY. GREAT. DRESS like the ones of Penelope Cruz in Versace, Year 2008.  Inspite of my Fashion Ranting whose opinions does not really matter in the World of Fashion… this Year’s Oscars Red Carpet was a constellation of Hollywood’s brightest stars, and the very best of celebrity fashion. Drawing inspiration from these leading ladies, we’re dishing out our style tips for achieving a red carpet look and for sure giving me a close up with all the trend breakdown featuring a variety of Jewel Mint selection which helps my 2011 Social event Calendar consisting of 2 Summer Red Carpet Party, 1 Wedding, 3 Christening - ALL I can say....Lights, camera, style! Lights, camera, style!

UP GRADE YOUR SHIRTS by ACQUIRING "DE SAINT ANGE"

OKAY, when I say revolutionary, I don't mean that it's going to extend research into the human genome or topple the monarchy. But what I'm talking about is beautifully designed and well crafted Shirts – kind of  “Avant Garde” of the normal boring Shirts and Blazers.  The product and words in  your ears - no other than "De St Ange" makers of Shirts and Blazers – I would say a new direction to the traditional Savoy’s and very English style industry of Dress Shirts and Blazers and has created a real buzz, literally I guess for those who love custom tailored dress shirts and Blazers.
My De St Ange Shirts and Blazers fascination started sometime last year when I first saw the man behind the designs and who is the owner of De St Ange Shirts in French Chanel TMC, who basically strutted his stuff and plugging all his Avant Garde European inspired Dress Shirts and Blazers.  The shop first opened in Paris and now has a Branch in Montecarlo – I must admit his craftsmanship is about more than just truly awesome well-fitted dress shirts.  It is about inspiring, enlightening, and entertaining you when shirt shopping become boring - I would say his design platform is everything from the collar to the cuffs to the button holes, an array of vivid and multitude of Colours to choose from and his style is simply truly unique.  For sure he is reaching out not only hardcore dress shirts and pseudo sartorialists (wow, that’s a word for you to look up in dictionary) but also everyone in between especially the Young Generations.  De St Ange Shirts and Blazers are more that just a product, I think it is a Legacy .

So stick around Guys because I think his designs stuff will be coming your way if not now - pretty soon…
